Delegation from China Visits School
A delegation from Beijing Municipal Education Commission and China Beijing Chaoyang Normal Affiliated Primary
School visited New Horizon International School on December 17, 2007. A memorandum of cooperation was signed
between China Beijing Chaoyang Normal Affiliated Primary School and New Horizon International School to develop
educational and cultural exchange programmes between the two schools. This memorandum was signed as a result of
the relationship that grew between the two schools during The Heart-to-Heart Summer Camp that took place in China
in August 2007.

Heart-to-Heart Summer Camp

The
Heart-to-Heart Partnership Programme in Beijing was organized by Media
and Communications Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for
the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) and Beijing Municipal Education
Commission. There were more than 200 primary and secondary schools in
Beijing to match 205 National Olympic Committees of the Olympic Family
for personal exchanges and building friendly relationships. Students
from all over the world were invited to gather in Beijing to experience
the theme slogan of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games "One World One Dream" and
spread Olympic ideals among youth. From Egypt, New Horizon
International School was selected to attend this wonderful and memorable
programme. More information will follow.

Olympic Education:
Heart-to-Heart Partnership Programme in August 2007
The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games launched
the "Heart-to-Heart Partnership" programme on 17 December 2006. The
programme is endeavoured to enhance exchange between students of the
Beijing-based elementary and secondary schools and youngsters of the
countries and regions where members of the Olympic Family come from,
to jointly pursue the Olympic ideal of "Unity, Friendship, Peace."
Up to now, Beijing has involved 200 plus elementary and secondary
schools in the programme. New Horizon International School is one of
the schools in Egypt that joined the "Heart-to-Heart Partnership"
programme. These schools will enter in partnership links to
learn about the language, culture, history, geography, etc
