Extra-curricular activities are an integral part of the New Horizon
International School programme. To make our
students school experience more enjoyable, educational and memorable we
provide them the opportunity to explore beyond the traditional
curriculum. We support and encourage our student body to participate in
various events and competitions.

In recognition of our students
in the Egyptian National Environmental Campaign, we were one of 3
schools chosen, throughout Egypt, to participate in the Waste 2001
Middle East Congress and Exhibition for Recycling and Waste Management.
Our students met with the Egyptian Minister of Environment, Mrs. Nadia

took this opportunity to personally present Mrs. Nadia Ebeid, with a
beautifully executed photographic expose they had done themselves.
Environmental 2000
Festival
As part of our on-going
programme of supplemental English projects, our Preparatory students
were among the top contributors to the Environmental 2000 Festival.
This event was held November 2000 at the Cairo Opera House, under the
joint auspices of the Egyptian Tourism Authority and the Cairo
Sheraton. Our students conducted independent research, which included
scientific experiments, video and photographic exposes, along with a
wealth of other artistic and written material. At the conclusion of the
festival our students donated the proceeds from hand-crafts, they made
and sold, to charity.
