‘Your World’ – A Day in Our Lives

‘Your World’ is a global student competition organised by the British Council. Secondary 1 Checkpoint, IGCSE/GCSE/O and A-Level students submit videos on their lives and their communities for the world to see. 

Thousands of students from 13 countries including Kuwait, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Sudan participated in 2015/16. Winners at country level are entered to compete at the regional finals to determine the global winner. The global winning team and their teacher are invited to attend a summer school in the UK at a British Council accredited school. 

There were 12 participating countries globally, 209 schools, 1375 candidates competing to win the competition.

In Egypt, 79 students from 11 schools in Cairo and Alex participated in the competition. Winners of the 14 to 16 category:   Alice Li, Farah Nasser Fawzy and Jan Pauline Sarmiento from New Horizon School. Please watch their video here.
